Considering board's category and CAD $500+ price mark, it's not inexpensive. There are also a few other parameters that I value and take into a consideration.
1) Quality
2) Look
3) Warranty/Customer Service
4) Value for the money
The board is fairly stable, well built, great looking & attractive. It runs smoothly and very agile & maneuverable.
Over the past month, I spent 25-30 hrs paddling in Lake Ontario, Ottawa river & shallow Humber river in Toronto.
The board handles waves very well. I could stand up and ride ('though not that easily) with waves up to 20-25 cm (8-10") high. Although it's easier to glide with no waves; the real beauty is riding on 5-8 cm (2-3") waves, where you get relatively smooth ride with some mild movements and sound of the splashing water. This could be a personal preference, but if your ride is for more than a 1/2 hour long, those small movements help your feet not to get numb.
In terms of riding it in shallow waters, please pay attention to the water depth since the mid fin is relatively long and can hit a rock or you can get stuck in mud or sand. There is nothing wrong with it; just the nature of the physics. Actually, that fin along with other two, on the sides, are the ones that greatly contribute to the stability & maneuverability of the board.
When inflating it, using included manual pump there are two options 'easier' & 'harder' which translates into when the pump pumps the air in. If air is pumped when you push the handle down only it's easier than when the air is pumped in with both strokes; push-down & pulled-up. You can switch from one to the other at any time. Pumping is not effortless but not that hard either - I look at it as additional exercise :-). Please don't stress yourself by in how many minutes you'll pump it up. It's irrelevant since we all have different physical strength and shape. This is no different than with other air-pumps in that board/price category.
If you're a beginner or an intermediate rider, with a desire for some spark(s), I would say, go for it; if you can afford and willing to pay for it.
As with many things in life, we're driven, by our subjective feelings and passion. This review is not immune to this; however, there is a greater attention paid to the facts rather than the feelings alone.
Anyhow, if you end up being one of the owners - Welcome to the Club!

The first thing that caught my attention was the competitive price. I had been searching for a paddle board for quite some time, and many options on the market were quite pricey. However, when I stumbled upon this gem on Amazon during Prime day, I couldn't believe my luck. The affordability was definitely a major selling point for me, as I didn't want to compromise on quality while sticking to my budget.
When the paddle board arrived, I was impressed by its overall build and construction. The material felt sturdy and durable, assuring me that it could handle various water conditions. Its dimensions were just right – long enough to offer great stability while still being easy to maneuver. The anti-slip deck pad was a nice touch, providing a secure grip during my paddling adventures.
Overall, my recent experience with the paddle board purchased on Amazon has been nothing short of fantastic. The value for money it offers is truly remarkable, and I couldn't be happier with my purchase. If you're in the market for a high-quality paddle board without breaking the bank, I wholeheartedly recommend giving this one a try. It's a solid investment for both beginners and seasoned paddle boarders alike.
One of my favorite features is the non-slip deck, which gives me confidence and keeps me steady even on choppy waters. Plus, the adjustable paddle is comfortable to hold and lightweight, allowing for extended paddling sessions without fatigue.
I've taken this paddle board out on both calm lakes and it performed well.
The included accessories, such as the coiled ankle leash and the detachable fin, add extra value to this package. It's a complete set that saves me time and effort in searching for compatible add-ons.
Overall, I recommend the Serene Life Premium Inflatable Stand Up Paddle Board to anyone looking for an affordable price and a fun and convenient way to enjoy the water. I think it's perfect for beginners. So, gear up and get ready for an amazing time on the water with this paddle board! Happy paddling! 🌊

The board is high quality and very comparable in shape, weight, and materials used to most other name brand inflatables I've encountered (NRS, High Society, etc.). It holds air very well, losing less than a pound of air pressure when left strapped to the roof of my car for a week, I inflate it to 15 psi every time. It is very stable and easy to stand on in calm water. The fins are solid and do their job, I've had the big one removed for the last month to navigate shallow water and its been no problem, it just turns more when you paddle. I did go out on a big, wind-chopped lake once and the board became a wet noodle, had to paddle from my knees. This is not a criticism, just the reality of the conditions and me being a large guy (6'1'', 190 lbs.) on a standard sized inflatable. If I buy a second board, I'll probably get one that's a little larger for stability on rougher water. I'll reiterate though that this one is excellent for calm water, even for larger people.
As for the accessories, I would say overall they met expectations at this price point. The pump is great and I'm able to inflate / deflate with about 5-10 minutes of pumping, easy. One quick note: be sure the little springy button on the air valve is in the UP position when you attach the pump, otherwise all the air will rush out when you remove it. Serene Life makes an electric pump for $60 if you want that option. The oar is fine too, though a plug on one of the sections fell out and disappeared at some point. Not sure what it was for and not worried about it. The buckle strap I received that holds the rolled up board together is useless, the buckle doesn't hold. I recommend getting NRS tie-down straps for that and for your roof anyway, they're very inexpensive and work amazingly well. The ankle leash is really nice and comfortable to wear. The backpack bag is solid but just barely big enough to hold everything if you get it packed perfectly, I wish they would have put a little more room in it. I did hike for about 30 minutes each way to an alpine lake with it and it was comfortable to wear for that period of time.
There are starting to be more options in the <$400 price range as SUP gets more popular so certainly do your research. However, for right now I think this model is excellent and every bit as good as far more expensive ones. I knew I was going with one of the cheapest options so wasn't expecting perfection, but was hugely impressed after working the board hard for a few months. I think the company takes the product seriously and has improved it steadily over a few models. Get this one or something similar, you won't regret it.
